Drawing was one of Oliver’s first explorations in art making. From his very first piece, the artist has displayed his strong, bold and confident linework, which has remained evident throughout his series, and acts as a clear distinguisher of his works to his audience.

Oliver has a unique drawing style, not only aesthetically but technically. When curating a work, the artist will often not build from the main subject or from the background up, but will leave gaps in the foreground which are later filled with subsequent layers.
